Abstract

The retractable brush support (8) for a vacuum cleaner moves in a fixed case (1). It can occupy high and low positions as well as at least one intermediate position in which the brush is inclined from the top at the front towards the base at the back. The brush support is pressed against a fixed support (22), allowing it to pivot, by a spring (13). The support is moved by two pedals which are connected to levers (22). These press on a shaped cam in support between two notches acting as stops and defining the extreme positions of the support.
