Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement chimique de lignocellulose pour la transformer en fibres séparées. Le procédé consiste à cuire une lignocellulose avec un mélange d'eau et d'un solvant (1 à 4 volumes d'alcool aliphatique inferieur par volume d'eau) en présence d'un catalyseur consistant en un sel métallique, la température de cuisson étant de préférence comprise entre 180 et 200 degrés C, pour une durée de cuisson ne dépassant pas deux heures, de manière à dépolymériser et dissoudre au moins partiellement la lignine, les hémicelluloses et les autres matières des parois cellulaires enveloppant les fibres de cellulose, à recueillir les fibres séparées et à récupérer les solvants de cuisson et de lavage, les lignines et les sucres du résidu de liqueur usée. Application à la production de pâtes à papier à partir d'especes végétales appartenant aux ordres tant des gymnospermes que des angiospermes.
