Abstract

The gas control valve is hand operated, the blocking member being coupled to the armature of an electromagnet. The latter is controlled by a probe in the pilot flame, a thermostatically responsive valve providing fast and slow action operation. An electrical interruptor on the valve casing controls a further valve in series with both other valves, the thermostatic valve acting on the interruptor so that the third valve is closed when the first valve is between a closed and slightly open position.
