Abstract

The handling equipment is for the spare wheel (1) of a heavy vehicle. It has a transverse support (3) on the chassis at the side of which there is a horizontal pivot parallel to the vehicle length. On this pivot one end of an arm (4) is mounted. On the other end of the arm a wheel carrying (5) is pivoted. There is a tensioner (6) between the support and the end of the first arm. The support is a beam (7) mounted above the chassis longitudinals (8) and behind the driving cab (2). Stops regulate the extreme positions of the arm.
