Abstract

The container loading system consists of a tilting platform (5) mounted on the trailer chassis by a transverse shaft. There is also a hydraulic ram (7) or similar device to tilt the platform. At the ends of the platform are guides for a cable (10) passing over each end of it. At each end of this cable is a fixing (14) to secure to the container and to a tension cable (12) on the tractor vehicle. There are also devices to hold the container on the platform in a transverse direction. The tension end of the cable is connected to a winder (15) on the tractor, and the transverse securing parts can be actuated by the tension cable.
