Abstract

The lifting arm (1,2) is attached to the frame beam on the chassis (12) by means of a link (4) which itself is articulated around a shaft (16). This is transversally directed to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and located towards the rear end (17) of it. - A piston unit (1U) is likewise articulated (11) further forward on the vehicle chassis, and acts against the lift arm to cause it to pivot successively around its articulation (3) on the link and around the locating shaft for the link on the vehicle. The distance (18) between the rear end of the vehicle and the link articulated location point on the chassis is between one third and one quarter of that (19) between the vehicle rear end and the piston unit location point.
