Abstract

The bottle stopper has two parts. The inner part (4) screws on to the bottle neck and has a flat top. The second part forms a sleeve over the inner part. It is kept in position by a ring (3) caught under the ring (16) on the bottle. The top of the outer sleeve has a starred opening (8) and an easily gripped surface (6) on the outside. The outer sleeve is loose over the cap (4) unless pressed down over it to deform the star (8), when the two parts are locked together for opening.
