Abstract

A charging and discharging device for baking ovens includes a work table on rollers for traversing which can be raised by power rams to the level of the various oven decks. The work table has an endless chain drive for a carriage with two drive brackets which can be made to engage the bars on a baking plate. The latter can thus be moved in-and-out of the oven deck. This mechanised loading and unloading is esp. useful for small and medium size bakeries and saves time and labour.
