Abstract

The operating system for self-driven or tractor drawn agricultural implements uses a sensing system which establishes the position and direction of the plants or crop and controls the mechanism to operate on them, accordingly. the height and direction of movement can be controlled. A mechanism to control change of direction can have a central diagonal piston and cylinder or a piston and cylinder each side, sloping inwards, or a screw and nut mechanism. Another design has a frame with side and diagonal cylinders. the control system includes a distributor relay, a load amplifier and more than one adjusting mechanism.
