Abstract

The fixed frame is used with side hung pivotable doors or windows, including an overhead frame opening for a demountable multi-purpose box. The box locates roller blind gear or similar, and slides into place to be secured by elastic clips. The frame comprises two posts with a head rail and an intermediate rail providing the door opening with a framed overhead opening for the box. A moulding strip of elastic material may be fixed to the external faces of the frame to the box opening, serving both as a weather seal and a retainer holding the box in place. The box may include a front edge flange with a check groove which are engaged by the moulding section. This has a rear face mounting plate with detachable panels for the mounting of fan motors or similar.
