Abstract

Along one vertical edge of the door or window panel are two recesses cut into one face of the panel. Each recess receives a hinge bearing (11) which has a mounting block (16). The block has a lateral bearing support flange (19) which spaces the block from the edge of the door or window panel and which is on the internal visible surface of the door or window frame. The flange (19) has a lip (21) extending along one edge and projecting from the visible surface. The lip engages behind the peripheral side of the hinge eye (39) of the support assembly (12) which is spaced from the opening panel.
