Abstract

The heat pump has an upper air entry between 5 and 15 times as large as the lower. The latter is connected by a line to a room in the house, in which it is installed. The whole unit can be installed in an attic and air from the attic is drawn into the larger air entry. This arrangement increases the capacity of the unit. This larger quantity of air receives heat from atmosphere, partic. from the sun on the roof, before entering the unit. Solar heating panels can also be installed on the roof to heat water in a fluid circuit. This heats the air passing through the upper, larger air entry.
