Abstract

The system has a series of hot-water type solar heat collectors (1) connected to the distribution system, and a series of hot-air type collector (6). The hot air is stored in a vessel (11), for passage through an air-water heat exchanger (15). This uses the stored hot air to heat an additional amount of water, when that produced by the hot-water collectors is insufficient for requirements. The air storage vessel can comprise a heap of gravel (12) of trapezium section, protected by an insulating cover. In the top of the latter there can be a selective inlet and discharge sheath connected to the hot-air collectors and the air-water heat exchanger.
