Abstract
A method of air conditioning buildings and heating water uses at least one solar collector and a heat pump. Fresh air entering the building is heated directly by passage through at least one integrated solar collector (4) and heat store (5), and used air (F) removed from the building is passed through the evaporator (14) of a heat pump (12) from which the heat is recovered to heat the building and/or a water tank (19). A part of the air (11) inside the building may also be heated by the collector and returned to the interior of the building. As shown, the integrated solar collector and heat store comprises an air duct defined by a double pane (2) and a black surface (4) of a liquid reservoir (5).
