Abstract

Perfectionnements aux piles soufre-sodium. Dans une pile soufre-sodium, le réactif cathodique, constitué de soufre et polysulfures de sodium, est fortement corrosif et électriquement peu conducteur. Il est connu de placer un matériau en carbone, par exemple un feutre de graphite, dans ce réactif pour former un chemin conducteur vers un collecteur de courant en métal, qui doit être protégé contre la corrosion dans une pile à longue vie. La présente invention vise un collecteur de courant perfectionné. La figure représente une disposition selon laquelle le collecteur de courant comprend un barreau ou tube 25 en aluminium entouré au moins partiellement par une feuille 26 d'un métal, tel que le nickel, resistant à l'attaque corrosive. Le barreau 25, là ou il est exposé, se recouvre d'une couche d'oxyde et/ou de sulfure, non conductrice. La feuille est soudée en 28 à travers cette couche pour réaliser la conduction électrique et peut posséder des ailettes 27 en saillie radiale.
