Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé de purification du 2-(2-éthoxy-éthoxy)-éthanol et du dipropylèneglycol. Selon l'invention, on traite ces produits par 0,01 à 0,2 % en poids d'un hydrure métallique ajouté à des températures de 10 à 100 degrés C en l'espace de 1 à 3 heures, ensuite on agite pendant 0,5 à 3 heures de plus, ensuite on ajoute 10 à 50 % d'eau relativement au poids d'éther de glycol introduit, on mélange et on opère tout d'abord une distil ation à la vapeur d'eau pour chasser cette eau, après quoi, éventuellement après une petite fraction intermédiaire qu'on ramène à la purification le produit très pur distille pratiquement sans perte. Le procédé permet d'obtenir des produits exempts d'odeur et de peroxydes.
