Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de déphosphoration d'un bain d'acier en phase réductrice. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à introduire dans le bain d'un produit solide pulvérulent constitué par un alcalino-terreux, de préférence du calcium pur, ou allié, ou mélangé à l'un de ses halogénures et à créer, en contact avec la surface du bain, un milieu qui ne soit pas susceptible de réagir avec les phosphures de calcium formés dans le bain, par exemple une atmosphère inerte ou un laitier basique pas ou peu oxydant à l'égard du calcium. Le procédé s'applique de préférence à un bain d'acier préalablement désoxydé. Il permet une élimination sélective du phosphore sans affecter les éléments d'alliage ou d'addition que l'on souhaite voir demeurer dans le bain.
