Abstract

The loading and unloading conveyor for cargo aircraft is made in two sections (6, 11). The one section (6) consists of rollers mounted in a frame projecting from teh warehouse (3). The second section (11) is mounted on a pivot (10) at one end and is supported on wheels (19) at the other end. This allows the outer section (11) to be swung through 90 deg. out of the way of the aircraft when it is not in use. The outer end of the section has a lift (14) to raise or lower the cargo to the aircraft door. The floor of the lift has a turntable (15) to suit front or side loaded aircraft.
