Abstract

Carbonate de calcium sous forme de particules ayant un noyau dont la surface porte de nombreuses protubérances. On pulvérise une suspension d'hydroxyde de calcium à contre-courant d'un gaz contenant de l'anhydride carbonique. On réalise la carbonatation au cours de trois étapes dont l'une est effectuée en présence d'un additif choisi parmi les acides phosphoriques ou leurs sels solubles dans l'eau. Application : carbonate de calcium utile comme charge et pigment pour des caoutchoucs, des matières plastiques, des papiers, etc.
