Abstract

Dans un système de freinage, une valve de modulation est mise en communication avec une source de pression et assure la communication depuis un maître-cylindre jusqu'à un moteur de frein associé à l'une des roues. Un ensemble de commande électronique contrôle la vitesse de la roue et coopère avec la valve de modulation pour relâcher la pression de freinage en cas de patinage de la roue. La valve de modulation comprend un premier piston qui délimite une chambre à volume variable en communication avec le moteur de frein et un second piston qui coopère avec l'ensemble de commande électronique pour déplacer le premier piston en cas de patinage. Lorsque le premier piston se déplace, le volume de la chambre à volume variable augmente pour recevoir du fluide sous pression depuis le moteur de frein et, ainsi, relâcher la pression dans ce dernier et éviter le patinage de la roue. De plus, une valve d'isolement est fermée par le déplacement du second piston pour interrompre la communication de fluide depuis le maître-cylindre. Application aux systèmes de freinage antipatinant
