Abstract

L'invention concerne un miroir rétroviseur à champ de vision élargi. La surface réfléchissante du miroir est en forme de nappe hyperbolique asymétrique convexe à profil vertical droit dont la formule est spécifique du besoin à couvrir. La nature de cette courbure permet une croissance géométrique des écarts angulaires du champ optique observés d'un bord sur l'autre, donc une ouverture progressive de ce champ : la plus grande partie du miroir couvre ainsi le champ préférentiel BS où l'image est peu déformée, tandis que sa partie externe donne un champ complémentaire SA d'ouverture équivalente, ceci sans rupture de la continuité de l'image. Le miroir est constitué d'une plaque d'aluminium polie collée sur un support plastique mince apres emboutissage à froid et oxydation anodique de sa surface. L'invention s'applique aux véhicules civils et militaires.
