Abstract

L'invention concerne un équipement de ralentissement pour véhicule, comprenant un ralentisseur à courants de Foucault, une source de tension 2 d'amplitude V et des moyens de commande actionnés par une manette 4 à plusieurs positions pour relier la source aux enroulements inducteurs 1 du ralentisseur. Les enroulements sont agencés de façon que leur alimentation sous une tension de 0,65 V fasse développer par le ralentisseur son couple de freinage maximum admissible en régime permanent, un ensemble électronique 3 est interposé entre la source et les enroulements de façon à transmettre de la première aux seconds une tension croissante de 0 à 0,65 V quand la manette 4 passe de sa première position O à son avant-dernière position C, cette tension devenant égale à V pour seulement la dernière position D de la manette de commande mais la durée de la surexcitation correspondant à cette dernière position étant limitée par des moyens de sécurité 6.
