Abstract

L'invention concerne les équipements de ralentissement pour véhicules, comprenant un ralentisseur à courants de Foucault comportant lui-même quatre enroulements inducteurs 1, une batterie 2, et des moyens de commande actionnés par une manette 3 à cinq positions. On prévoit des moyens de sécurité 7-8 pour interdire automatiquement le maintien de l'excitation du ralentisseur correspondant respectivement aux positions 4 et 3 après respectivement des retards de l'ordre de 20 secondes et 3 minutes et l'on renforce les enroulements inducteurs de façon telle qu'ils puissent engendrer un nombre d'ampères-tours supérieur à celui qu'ils sont susceptibles de produire habituellement, ce qui rend possible l'obtention de couples importants à froid pour un ralentisseur de dimensions données.
