Abstract

PURPOSE: To rescue a passenger before giving an uneasiness to them at the power failure time by providing an elevator control means for controlling an electric power converter by an usual speed indication at the usual time and for controlling the electric power converter by a power failure time speed indication at the power failure time.
CONSTITUTION: At the power failure generation time, when a power failure is detected by a power failure detection relay 11, an electric power is supplied from battery power source 28, 13, 18, 22 to an elevator control circuit 25, rescue operation control circuit 12, speed detector 17 and brake 21. The elevator control circuit 25 controls an invertor 26 by the speed indication at the power failure time in response to the operation direction and position of the elevator just before the power failure and drives a motor 4 and operates the car 6 to the nearest floor and makes it landing. After the power failure is generated, the power source of a main circuit is only the electrical change stored in a capacitor 31, but it is detected by a voltage detection relay 34 that the main circuit voltage is dropped upto the same voltage as the voltage of a battery power source 35 and the power from the battery 35 is supplied to the main circuit and its operation is continued. In other words, the movement of the car 6 is continued and operated upto the nearest floor.
