Abstract

The adjusting electrostatic switch is based on the use of a pair of electrets (E1, E2) carried on a flexible conducting arm (L) moving from one latched position to a second and controlled by three separate input signals (B1, B2, B3). The electret carrying arm can also move against a spring R2) at its root operating a pair of contacts (K). The arm movement is constrained by two slides (G3, G4) and a stop (A3). The electret pair is positioned between a fixed electrode (P1) and a second electrode (P2) also displaceable axially by a solenoid (S) against a spring (R1) and constrained by two further slides (G1, G2) and a pair of stops (A1, A2).
