Abstract

The machine has a stator (b) with winding (d) connected in pairs, in series or in parallel to a commutator or collector. The connections leaving the commutator are connected to the windings if the stator and commutator are concentric and in the same housing. The current supply to the machine is fed in by two brushes (g) mounted on rotatable brush shoe support on which is also mounted slip rings. The current is fed to diametrically opposite coils corresponding to commutator contacts on which the brushes are resting so as to impose a set force on the concentric rotor (a) forming the motor shaft. There is not any rotational movement, but simply production of a torque which is applied to brush shoe support shaft.
