Abstract

A single phase capacitor start induction motor has a rotor R% with slots inclined with respect to the rotor axis by 7 DEG to 11 DEG , preverably by 9 DEG . This permits variation of rotor speed n with respect to the stator in relation to constantly decreasing load, with a practically linear relationship of the motor speed/torque curve Fig. 5, such advantages being especially suitable for application of the motor in an electric clothes-washing machine.
