Commutators and collecting-rings.-In a collector for dynamo-electric machines comprising a commutator and slip-rings, the commutator segments f are connected by conductors to segments t in a ring of reduced diameter on which the slip-rings e are arranged. The slip-rings may be arranged on both sides of the commutators. The collector is mounted on a shaft separate from the dynamo shaft but driven therefrom, and the armature windings are connected to the slip-rings by means of flexible metal cords pressed upon the rings by springs.
