Abstract

The sealing arrangement has radially elastic rings (1) which are arranged in an annular groove in the piston, rest face-to-face in a bundle and are pressed resiliently in the radial direction against the inner wall of the working cylinder (12) by an inflatable body (3) of flexible elastic material acting as a spring element. The inflatable body (3) is fed with pressure medium via a duct (13, 14). The duct (13, 14) is connected to the pressure spaces of the working cylinder and, in the feed to the inflatable body (3), has an OR valve (15) which connects to the inflatable body (3) the duct section (13a, 14b) which opens into the pressure space which is at the higher pressure, opening the said duct section.
