Abstract

The demountable load-bearing floor is designed for installation over an area occupied by a swimming pool. The substructure may be of timber or metal, spans between the sides of the pool, and may be sectional or in one piece depending on the size of the pool. A typical installation has lattice girders spanning the pool transversely at longitudinal intervals. The horizontal top boom cantilevers beyond the truss at each extremity to accommodate stub column supports on bearing plates. Purlins span between the girders to support a boarded floor.
