Abstract

The roof of the lorry cab is hollow and fitted with air intakes (19) at the front. The space forms a collecting chamber for the air intake for the engine with a connecting duct (16) running down from the rear edge of the roof to the engine. The intakes are set above the water spray and dust level on the road so that the air intake filter (13) requires less frequent charging.
