Abstract

1295126 Vehicle bodies CHRYSLER UNITED KINGDOM Ltd 10 May 1971 [24 June 1970] 30706/70 Heading B7B Air deflector means mounted on a vehicle body deflects air flow across a lamp to keep it clean. In a preferred embodiment the deflector means comprises a duct 16 which tapers into an outlet 18 in the side wall of the lamp recess 15. Air flow passes from the outlet 18 across the lamp and into an inlet 20 of an extractor vent 19 which leads to an outlet grill 21. The duct 16 may have filter means such as wire mesh or may contain a suitably shaped recess (22) Fig. 2 (not shown), to separate dirt particles. The dust and extractor vent may contain drain apertures. The deflector means may be located in an air intake for the vehicle engine.
