Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d' alpha -amino-acides. Le procédé de l'invention est caractérisé en ce que l'on prépare in situ un alpha -amino-nitrile ou l'un de ses sels, que l'on effectue une hydrolyse catalytique chimique dudit alpha -amino-nitrile ou l'un de ses sels in situ, par reaction en solution aqueuse d'au moins un dérivé carbonylé, sur ledit alpha -amino-nitrile ou sur l'un de ses sels en présence d'ions hydroxydes introduits en faible quantité dans le milieu réactionnel, de préférence à raison de 0,1 à 0,3 mole d'hydroxyde par mole d' alpha -amino-nitrile de départ, et en ce que l'on extrait l' alpha -amino-amide correspondant obtenu. Application à l'industrie chimique.
