Abstract

Citerne à toit flottant comportant comme garniture d'étanchéité primaire des patins qu'un mécanisme porté par le toit presse contre sa face intérieure et un écran en étoffe reliant le toit à ces patins. Une garniture d'étanchéité secondaire comporte une bande en élastomère annulaire 31 dont le bord inférieur est hermétiquement fixé sur le toit 14 et qui est cintrée vers le haut à partir du toit pour entrer en contact étanche glissant avec la face intérieure de la citerne, au-dessus des patins, cette bande étant soutenue à mi-hauteur par des moyens de support 40 prévus ou rapportés sur les patins 19 et qui portent contre sa face inférieure. Stockage de liquides volatils et notamment de produits pétroliers. Dans une citerne ainsi équipée le liquide ne subit que de très faibles pertes par évaporation.
