Abstract

La présente invention concerne des cellules électrochimiques à anode en métal alcalin et à cathode en chalcogénure métallique, par exemple des batteries au lithium. Les compositions électrolytiques de ces cellules comprennent un solvant organique choisi parmi les éthers, les sulfones, les sulfates organiques, les sulfites organiques, les composés nitrés organiques et les nitrites organiques; et au moins une quantité électrolytiquement active d'un sel polyarylique d'un métal alcalin, de formule ZMRn où Z est un métal alcalin et M est Zn, Cd, B, Al, Ga, Sn (stanneaux) In, TI, P ou As, et Rn représente n radicaux aryle, identiques ou différents, ayant chacun 6 à 50 atomes de carbone, n étant égal à 1 augmenté de la valence de M. Ces cellules peuvent être rechargées de nombreuses fois et présentent une densité d'énergie élevée.
