Abstract

L'invention est applicable aux moteurs Diesels dans lesquels les soupapes d'admission et d'échappement sont situées dans un plan commun et le cylindre ou chaque cylindre présente une chambre de précombustion. Selon l'invention, la chambre de combustion 4 est formée par un évidement de section triangulaire dans le dessous de la culasse 5 et par un renflement 19 de section triangulaire sur la tête du piston 1. Les faces supérieures 10 et 20 de l'évidement et du renflement sont inclinées par rapport à l'axe longitudinal X-X du cylindre 2 et divergent vers la chambre de précombustion 9, tandis que les faces latérales 12 et 21 de l'évidement et du renflement ont sensiblement la même inclinaison et ferment pratiquement la chambre de combustion de ce côté quand le piston 1 est au point mort haut.
