Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement chimique d'eaux usées, en vue d'éliminer de celles-ci les produits solides et éléments contaminants. Selon l'invention, on mélange l'eau usée avec un coagulant alcalin de manière à obtenir un pH compris entre 9 et 11. On ajoute à ce mélange un précipitant acide pour abaisser le pH d'une unité, de manière à agglomérer les solides en suspension Après séparation de ces solides, on ajoute au mélange un précipitant acide pour obtenir un pH compris entre 6 et 8,5, de manière à séparer les autres solides agglomérés. On traite ensuite par un agent oxydant et désinfectant, on filtre et on ajoute au filtrat un second oxydant et désinfectant pour obtenir une DBO inférieure à 20 mg/l. Applications : épuration des eaux urbaines et industrielles.
