Abstract

Moteur à deux rangées de cylindres logeant des pistons dont le travail s'exerce sur un vilebrequin, les cylindrés des rangées différentes se succédant alternativement dans la direction de la longueur du moteur et étant équipés d'une culasse commune. La partie de l'extrémité des pistons 9 et/ou des cylindres 7, 8 qui est tournée vers le vilebrequin et qui est orientée vers les cylindres voisins est raccourcie en 26, 27, 28. Application à ce type de moteurs afin d'en réduire l'encombrement en longueur.
