Abstract
a. Procédé de cuisson d'articles de gros formats permettant d'obtenir des produits réfractaires, tels par exemple que des pierres d'un poids supérieur à 150 kg, et d'une épaisseur de 200 mm et plus, dans un four avec utilisation d'un feu. b. On utilise un four tunnel à feu stationnaire, et pour obtenir une modération relative des effets de la température, on établit des conditions calmantes concernant les chutes de température et le courant circulant autour des articles à cuire, en entourant complètement ou partiellement l'article de gros format d'un moufle ou d'un treillis dressé résistant à la température tandis que l'article est guidé à travers le four. c. Ce procédé permet d'éviter la formation de fissures provoquées par les tensions de chauffe et de refroidissement dans les articles à cuire.
