Abstract

The hinge has two parts whose relative position is fixed by an adjusting and fixing arrangement designed as eccentric drive. The eccentric is operated by a motor, and manual adjustment of the back rest is possible when the motor fails. The eccentric can be disconnected by means of a manually operated adjusting member from its coupling with the motor for manual operation. The eccentric is a sleeve and it has coupling element connected to the motor. The adjusting screw used for axial adjustment of the coupling engages with the eccentric.
