Abstract

The remote control for the external driving mirror has the mirror secured on a plastics moulded support plate under which are moulded two pairs of cams. The cams interact with moulded cams on two sliders which are moved independently by a simple gearing linked to the drive controls, with one of the modes of freedom obtained by axial displacement of the drive shaft. The remove control has few components and provides a simple and precise adjustment. The mirror support plate is secured by a central support pillar on the support housing by an universal ball joint.
