Abstract

Mémoire à disques magnétiques disposés axialement espacés l'un de l'autre, rigides en rotation, sur un arbre orienté perpendiculairement au plan des disques, comportant un dispositif d'entraînement, une multiplicité de bras pivotants pour tenir des têtes magnétiques servant à enregistrer ou à reproduire une information sur le ou les disques magnétiques. Les bras pivotants sont montés autour d'un axe de pivotement orienté sensiblement parallèlement à l'arbre, de telle sorte qu'un bras peut pénétrer au moins partiellement dans l'intervalle entre deux disques magnétiques voisins. Un dispositif d'entraînement fait pivoter les bras pivotants, les disques magnétiques et les bras avec les têtes magnétiques étant enfermés dans un carter. Les bras pivotants 52 pénétrant entre deux disques magnétiques voisins 20 comportent au moins dans la zone plongeant entre les disques magnétiques un profil offrant peu de résistance à l'air.
