Abstract

Bras porte-tête comportant un transducteur magnétique 11 qui est positionné sur un disque d'une pile de disques souples 29. Le bras est un élément allongé, approximativement plat et relié, par une de ses extrémités, au chariot 16 d'un mécanisme de positionnement 18. Le bras 12 comporte des bords latéraux biseautés et une enceinte sphérique 10 dans laquelle est logée le transducteur. La section du bras est décroissante de telle sorte que les bords latéraux forment un angle theta avec l'axe du bras, cet angle theta commandant l'éjection automatique du bras hors de la pile de disques en cas d'accidents. Ce bras est utilisé dans les dispositifs de mémoire à disques souples et à accès aléatoire.
