Abstract

L'invention a trait au domaine de la chimie médicale. Elle concerne un antibiotique nouveau du type anthracycline, appelé rudolphomycine, produit par fermentation d'Actinosporangium sp. ATCC 31 127 et isolément sous une forme dénuée de substances produites simultanément. La rudolphomycine et ses sels acceptables du point de vue pharmaceutique sont doués d'activité antimicrobienne et inhibent le développement de tumeurs chez les mammifères.
