Abstract

a. Procédé de préparation d'acide méthacrylique par oxydation catalytique en phase vapeur de méthacroleine au moyen d'oxygène moléculaire ou d'un gaz contenant de l'oxygène moleculaire. b. Il comprend l'utilisation d'un catalyseur d'oxyde complexe multi-élémentaire de formule : Moa Pb Asc Vd Cue Cef Cr g Oh dans laquelle a, b, d, e, f, g et h représentent respectivement des rapports atomiques et a = 12, b = 0,5 à 3,0, c = 0,01 à 1,2, d = 0,01 à 2,0, e = 0,01 à 2,0, f = 0,01 à 1,2, g = 0 à 2,0; et h est fonction des valences des autres composants et est habituellement compris entre 37 et 60, catalyseur qui est préparé avec ou sans réduction en utilisant un acide carboxylique dibasique, un acide oxycarboxylique, du mannitol ou du pyrogallol. c. Industrie de la fabrication de l'acide méthacrylique.
