Abstract

Procédé pour l'oxydation de toluènes contenant un groupe non oxydable en position p. On procède par réaction avec de l'oxygène moléculaire en présence d'un carboxylate de cobalt, d'un composé du brome, d'un acide carboxylique et de 0,5 à 40 moles % par rapport à l'acide carboxylique, d'un agent s'opposant à l'oxydation. On prépare en particulier des p-alcoylbenzaldéhydes et des acides p-alcoylbenzoiques.
