Abstract

Un signal électronique représentant la densité d'éléments d'image d'une ligne analysée dans une image originale et contenant un nombre d'éléments d'image égal à la somme d'un multiple entier du nombre de valeurs de point partiel d'une unique ligne de trame de demi-teinte et d'un paramètre d'extension prédéterminé est transformé électroniquement en signal de reproduction en similigravure par comparaison du signal d'image avec l'unique ligne de valeurs de point partiel de la trame de similigravure pour former une image en demi-teintes électronique. Une fonction de trame électronique représentée par l'unique ligne de valeurs de point partiel produit automatiquement une trame de similigravure déplacée angulairement jusqu'à un angle prédéterminé par rapport à l'image électronique originale lorsque le nombre d'éléments d'image de la ligne analysée du document original est rendu égal à la somme d un multiple entier du nombre de valeurs de point partiel et d'un paramètre d'extension prédéterminé. Alors l'entrée analysée est automatiquement tramée électroniquement en cellules de demi-teinte présentant approximativement la forme d'un parallélogramme s'étendant suivant ledit angle prédéterminé. L'unique ligne de valeurs de point partiel a seulement besoin d'être décalée circulairement à travers un comparateur. Aucun indexage ou décalage électronique de valeurs de point partiel n'est nécessaire.
