Abstract
a. Procédé de fabrication d'électrodes en fer, autoportantes activées. b. Procédé caractérisé en ce que : A. on mélange des parties de particules de fer métallique 0,5 à 5,0 % d'un additif constitué par un sulfate métallique soluble dans l'eau, constitué par au moins l'un des composés choisis dans le groupe formé par MgSo4 , CdSO4 , MnSO4 , ZnSO4 , BaSO4 , Cr2 (SO4 )3 , CuSO4 , CaSO4 , Li2 SO 4 et un hydrate de ces composés pour former un revêtement mince à la surface des particules; B. On sèche et calibre ce mélange à dimension moyenne de 10 à 275 microns; C. on presse les particules pour former une plaque; D. on réduit et on fritte la plaque à une température entre 700 degrés C et 1 000 degrés C en atmosphère réductrice pour obtenir une électrode métallique autoportante, interconnectée complètement chargée, revêtue d'un métal d'activation, et susceptible d'être déchargée immédiatement. c. L'invention s'applique à la fabrication de plaques d'accumulateurs
