Abstract

A heating device treats moving yarns on back-to-back texturising machines. It comprises a common central part with >=1 heater for the treatment of yarns from each texturising unit. The heater has a gp. of aligned tubes disposed in two straight, spaced, heated rows. The yarns pass through the centre of the tubes, and each row treats the yarns from one of the texturising units. The heating device comprises square metal blocks with holes drilled through for the passage of the yarn, and for the insertion of a temp. control device. The heated metal blocks are contained with an insulation chamber. By placing the heater centrally between the texturising units, heat losses are reduced. The heater of the invention does not encumber the central part of the machine, and cuts yarn prodn. costs by reason of improved regularity of treatment and even distribution of heat.
