Abstract

The handle for the manipulating rolls of wire, such as barbed wire, is made from a U-shaped length of iron wire. This has a straight cross piece (1) and two lateral branches (2) which are bent outwards at an angle of 5-15 deg. from the vertical. Two hooks (3), at the extremities of the lateral branches, are bent outwards so that the distance between the points (4) of the hooks is greater than the diameter of the hollow centre of the roll. The points are engaged in two holes (5) opposite each other near the upper edge of a plastics cylinder equal in height to the roll.
